Review For Morganville Vampires Book 1, Glass House.

Oh my god. How could I have been so BLIND?! Yes, I come from year 1000 BC because until today, I haven't read this great book! 'Looks down at the floor in shame' This was..*gasps* awesome. Like the perfect, good, well written, amazing awesome! Not just awesome. but yes it is awesome omg. forgive me, I'm not usually like that -___- but this book stole the breath out of me. Thief.. It also stole my attention cause i really really liked this. lol now the review: The Main Characters Claire First thing off, the writer didn't describe Claire's outer appearance, and through out the whole book she complained about how bad looking, short and weak she is. I mean put out the descriptions and let the reader decide if she is cute. Second, Claire is very weak. She couldn't stand up for herself. Always running for help. Damn girl, if u can't protect your self at least don't go to school and get beaten up or burn. She is very stubborn, and that is nice in a girl. But what use is for all this stubbornness if your gonna get beaten up by a bunch of mean GIRLS literally -__- Oh and, I was very much annoyed by Claire and her hormones. I mean I felt her feelings for Shane were nothing but lust no true lover. For gods sake she is 16. And what annoyed me more, is that she would be thinking about Shane and then Micheal appears. Then she starts drooling over how hot and cute he is. She even drooled on the vampire Sam! Lol, teenagers -__- By the way I mean no offense for teenagers cause I'm a teenage myself. and of Claire's age, sixteen. Shane The bad ass, hot, good looking, hero. This character has become an essential component in every supernatural book. God! Shane, he has a very rough past His sister died in a fire the town's bitch, Monica Morrel made in Shane's house. And when they left town, they were supposed to forget everything about VAMPIRES! What a huge spoiler huh? Read the series name ;) and his mom was killed by OOOHH VAMPIRES! Sorry for all the huge shocks I'm throwing lol Any way, He manages to hide it very well. At the beginning, I thought his kindness and affection towards Claire is just reminding of his dead aka murdered sister, Alyssa. But as the story progressed, his protection for Claire grew more and more, and it exceeded his protection for Eve. And the kisses, god the kisses were so well written and good. He and Claire make a very good couple. They truly excite me. Now, I was very annoyed with shane when he called his father, he just brought extra unwanted trouble and danger. As if there is ever calmness and safety in Morganville. Hah! I loved Shane's jokes. He is so damn funny [ well the writer, Rachel Caine is] I especially liked the *straight* joke. It was so damn funny. Eve I very much loved this characters courage and rudeness. She is goth, I'm not, but I liked her fashion style. She is bad ass and could stand up for herself, unlike Claire. I liked her love for Micheal, its just so real and pure. I hated how Shane hurt her about her family. Her dark sense of humor got to me too.. FINALLY: Michael: Wow, just wow. My dream prince. So courageous, so protective, so good looking, and so loving. if only you exclude the fact that he is dead loll. I got bored of the writers description as angelic looking even if he truly is angelic looking, well can't you find other descriptions? like brave, encouraging, protective, literally perfect, amazing, loving, kind, sweet etc.. Michael is a really good person. He is so wise, and he thinks with clear logic, anger and getting pissed off doesn't muddle his ability to think in a wise good way. I liked that about him. I totally liked everything about this character. Nothing more to say. The characters get a 4/5 or even 3.5/5. Plot College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life, but they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.. Oh yeah, I liked the plot. So very interesting and exciting. The whole age 16 and in collage thing got me excited for the very beginning. You see my mom was 16 in collage too. Claire just got transferred to the town of Morgan ville, Texas. She lives in a dorm, where cleverness means nothing to the people there. Only good looks do. Then the good looking whore starts bullying Claire, she even throws her down the stairs. Claire was just always so defenseless. When she senses that Monica may truly kill her, she runs away from the dorm and rents a room in the glasshouse { I wonder why it was named so, though] She meets Michael, Eve and Shane. First Michael isn't very encouraging to let her live in but eventually does. They tell her about the secret of the town, the town is filled with vampires, who either give u protection if u give them blood, or live unprotected and eventually get killed. Then Claire figures out that Michael is a ghost and Shane makes a deal with an annoying vampire to stop hurting Claire and hunting her, and he would give them blood. Claire tries to fake the book all vampires want to read about how vampires are made. But then, because of good, or no wait, BAD luck, Claire finds the REAL copy of the book. Claire reminds me of Belle in twilight, first very weak and second always followed by bad luck. But Claire is much better than Belle.. Anyway... Claire makes a deal with Oliver, a vampire pretending to be a human and a good person. it turns out he is the one who killed Micheal and tried to turn him to a vampire. OOO creepy. Oliver tries to get in the glass house but due to the houses protection he doesn't. When the sun comes up and Micheal goes away, the cops invade the house, and Monica tries to burn it down.. Claire makes a deal with the Founder, a cold, hard hearted woman, the oldest vamp in the world. They give her the book, and she promises safety. Then Shane's dad comes, and he kills Mike. The book ends. Cover:5/5 Title:5/5 Polt5/5 characters4/5 I rate it a five, cause this book really rocks.
